I've been an actor pretty much all my life. I've been making short films as long as I had access to a recorder. What you'll find here are some of my more recent videos. I'll be making more as time goes on, but I'll also put up some "classics" from my younger years.

The Bridge

Here is a short thriller I did some acting in. Candace is in here too. She had another opportunity to be a girl on a phone. She's not reprising her Maggie Michaels role form the Seven Year Wish, but it's more phone for her. Written and directed by Walter Diaz out in Los Angeles.

Filling In - Madison 48 Hour Film Prject 2012

It's that time of year again. Time for the 48! This year, I was only on writing duty (though I did get to voice a lil' something). Filling In is Firmament's idea of a fantasy, which was the genre we were given.

For those unfamiliar, the 48 Hour Film Project is an independent film challenge. Crews have exactly 48 hours - not a minute more - to complete an entire film. At 6:30p.m. on Friday, teams draw their genre and are given three required elements, a prop, a line of dialogue, and a character. This year, we had these to work with: Prop - A suitcase Dialogue - "Watch and learn." Character: Tanner or Tammy Greene - Pharmaceutical Rep

This piece came together nicely. Awards will be handed out on Sunday. Fingers crossed. For now, enjoy Filling In.

Tempers flare as duties are left in the balance at the headquarters of mythological operatives.

Misfit Heights Preview

Here is the movie trailer for the zombie puppet musical feature film that I did voice over work on. For info on the flick (premiering and GenCon 2012 in just a few short weeks), visit the IMDB page HERE or visit www.misfitheights.com for info from the filmmakers themselves.

Relish

This is a short film made back in March. I'm tired of waiting for it to be "complete" according to Steve. It's what it is, and it's been seen and enjoyed by many, many folks. Firmament Films played a strong role in the post of this film, and a special thanks goes to Chris Moehr and Jamison Stokdyk for color correction and effects and for the amazing(as always) music respectively. This is not like the films I typically write. I wrote this as a filming challenge for director Stephen Abrahim. I gave him three days to plan and only five hours to film. Stephen is a hardcore Tarantino fan, so I wrote him something to appeal to his sensibility. The results aren't exactly what I'd anticipated, but it's a fun piece. It's violent and foul-mouthed. It's rated R, so you've been warned. So, here you go folks, enjoy...

"Until Death" Winner - 2012 Milwaukee 48 Hour Film Project

This year, I participated in the Milwaukee 48 Hour Film Project with the production company Flip Eleven Creative. Out short pulled out the win for Best Picture and Best Direction, For those unfamiliar with the 48, we have 48 hours exactly to come up with a script, shoot it, edit it, and hand it in. Not an easy task for some. And the more professional one hopes to make the film, the harder this time frame can be. In addition to the time constraint, there are for requirements that must be met in order to remain in the competition. Each team is given a genre (ours was Horror), a prop (a box), a line of dialogue (Never mind, I'll ask someone else"), and a character (telepathy expert, Daniel Carlson). All the elements are given out at 6pm Friday, and the film must be turned in 6pm Sunday, no exceptions. Though not our regular crew of Firmament Films, myself, Candace, and Chad all participated. Candy and I acted and Chad edited (Flip Eleven being his new place of employ). Despite the ambiguity of this horror flick, our production value is spectacular! We look like pros in this fun short. We had a fun time putting this together, and we look forward to returning to Madison this year to defend Firmament's title. Here is the short below. Enjoy!

Watch Sierra Shea & 7 directors - 48 Hour Film Project on PBS. See more from Director's Cut.

This here is a video of my appearance with Firmament Films producer Chris Moehr where we discuss the 48 Hour Film Project and "The Seven Year Wish". Sadly, we only a had a few minutes to chat. I did my best to mention as many of our crew as possible. I am just about to mention Chad when we get cut off. Ah well. Next time. Enjoy.

Significant

A man's quest to free himself from his past is complicated by the ripple effect on his future. Caught by time's protectors, is his plan to change time intact or destroyed? When each second is significant, everything means something.

Written and directed by yours truly, this here is the product of fine work from the Firmament Films crew - Ryan Brooks behind the lense, Chris Moehr producing, Jesse Stokdyk as Beau, Jessica Moehr as Kari, Chad Halvorsen as Knox and editing this fine piece, the fantastic original musical score by Jamison Stokdyk, Cory Kaseman on sound, and help from Candace Ostler, Kris Schultz, Paul Ziech, and Wil Loper. We have just made it into the Tony Scott/Ridley Scott You Tube Film Festival. Who knows what that willl bring us, but one thing is for sure, this is only the beginning of this fascinating universe of time travel and mystery.
Watch here, or enjoy it in HIGH DEF on You Tube!

End of the Day

"At the end of the day, I'm dreaming - dreaming of where I want to go, and what I want to be..."

Created by Candace for her digital photography final combining her semester of story reimagining (Inception), photo essay, and ways of seeing, featuring the song "End of the Day" by Hey You Guys off of their third album "Coming Soon".
