A man's quest to free himself from his past is complicated by the ripple effect on his future. Caught by time's protectors, is his plan to change time intact or destroyed? When each second is significant, everything means something.
Written and directed by yours truly, this here is the product of fine work from the Firmament Films crew - Ryan Brooks behind the lense, Chris Moehr producing, Jesse Stokdyk as Beau, Jessica Moehr as Kari, Chad Halvorsen as Knox and editing this fine piece, the fantastic original musical score by Jamison Stokdyk, Cory Kaseman on sound, and help from Candace Ostler, Kris Schultz, Paul Ziech, and Wil Loper. We have just made it into the Tony Scott/Ridley Scott You Tube Film Festival. Who knows what that willl bring us, but one thing is for sure, this is only the beginning of this fascinating universe of time travel and mystery.
Watch here, or enjoy it in HIGH DEF on You Tube!
I've been an actor pretty much all my life. I've been making short films as long as I had access to a recorder. What you'll find here are some of my more recent videos. I'll be making more as time goes on, but I'll also put up some "classics" from my younger years.
End of the Day
"At the end of the day, I'm dreaming - dreaming of where I want to go, and what I want to be..."
Created by Candace for her digital photography final combining her semester of story reimagining (Inception), photo essay, and ways of seeing, featuring the song "End of the Day" by Hey You Guys off of their third album "Coming Soon".

The Seven Year Wish
Here is our entry this year for the Madison 48 Hour Film Festival. Our required elements were:
genre: Birthday
prop: calender,
dialogue: Where do you want to meet?
character: Matt or Maggie Michael, musician
Everything you see and hear was created between Friday and Sunday. We feel really confident about this year's entry, and our fingers are crossed for some awards. I'd like to say Chad outdid himself this tome around. He won best editing last year with Dangerous Summers, and I think he's a lock for this year. Also, between Cory's sound and Jamison's music, we surely have to get sound editing.
Kris was an excellent writing partner, and I'm pretty happy with my performance as Death. I didn't intend to end up with such a large role, but it worked out nicely.
Give it a couple watches to catch all the nuances, and here's to hoping at the awards...

Fed Up
This is a short I wrote up for a friend's acting reel. They improv'd a bit in the middle, which was intentional, and I think it turned out very funny.
It was directed by Tim Cruz, who I've never met, so I'm pleased to see how he filmed it. It's nice to see one's work interpreted well.

Dangerous Summers
1/14/11 UPDATE! We were selected for the Beloit International Film Festival! That is, "Dangerous Summers" is an official selection in the shorts section of the festival with TWO showings! How about that, Award-Winning Filmmakers?
7/23/10 This is the film project I worked on for the 48-hour Film Festival in Madison. With Odin Cabal, I wrote up this little adventure.
Our short took four awards home:
Best Sound Design
Best Costuming
Best Editing (Way to go Chad!)
And the Audience Choice Award.
Well done to all involved. Can't wait for next fest.

Glamorous Us
Here's a fun little video featuring Candy and Mikey. We had a photo shoot for fun and I thought it would be cool to put it to music. The song used here is "Can't Get Enough" by Rooney.
Peanut Butter: Proof That Evolution is Fake!
Please be sure to watch it all the way through. I don't want anyone else jumping to conclusions about my feeling on this matter. There are two curse words here, so if you have a sensitivity to such a thing, you've been warned.
Crazy Backwards Funtime
It started way back when with Jason. I should really get the old school videos out, dust 'em off, and put them up for nostalgia's sake.
The title really says it all. It's crazy and backwards, but everything looks crazy sped up and in reverse, and it's a fun time fr all involved. And for the fifth installment of "CBFT", those involved were myself and Candy. Enjoy, and maybe you'll want to do your own soon.
